1. Read and comment HW6 of others.


2. I changed the formula for the experiment - that will make it more practical, closer to the reality and will better link biophotonics to LLLT. Design the experiment to test the hypothesis that LLLT (red light) applied during under 3 minutes induces ultraweak delayed (in range of hours) bioluminescence in UV region (radiation of Gurwitsch-Popp type of biophotons) and that these biophotons demonstrate biological = regulatory activity, presumably mitogenic. Describe the experiment, propose the budget, number of people needed and time to accomplish. What animal/cell culture/in vitro model will you use? Which positive/negative controls will you incorporate? What results do you anticipate to obtain and how will you interpret them?

Same assignment in different wording: a biological system is irradiated with red light for few minutes. You need to test whether red light induces it to irradiate weak UV (biophotons) and that these biophotons show (for example) mitogenic properties (cause cells to divide). Testing other biological actions of these biophotons will be good too.


3. Below are 15 papers about biophotons. Check the comments to see which papers have been already taken, pick one untaken and tell others which one you have picked.

Read the paper and share useful info with the rest of the group. The key question to address: Is there a mechanistic link between LLLT and release of biophotons by DNA? What is experimental evidence? Describe the experimental models used (if any). Ideally, use Internet to learn unknown terms (say from Wikipedia) and to follow interesting leads.
